“At the end of every tunnel, there is light”

Let me share a short story of mine..

I remember when I was young at the age of 9 years old, one early morning, there was a very strong typhoon called “Nitang” where our small house was totally destroyed..All our source of livelihood totally wiped out. One day, I woke up without food and without shelter.., there were days and months that we had “One Day One Eat”.Sometimes life will test us to the extent that we will give up because there is NO HOPE already. But do you know, what were the reasons that I continue my life despite being very poor..The Life Hardships and my Big Dreams..

One day, my Mama decided to go to Manila because of so much hardships..After the strong typhoon, we felt the Famine. The options of my Mama was to work in Manila to lift us in Poverty. It was a very sad day when my Mama left..The following days, we felt the loneliness of having no mother at our side..We don’t had a choice, we all cried together with my brothers and sister..We were six in the family..Those days, there was no video call, no facebook, no messenger..We can only see our Mama every once a year to attend our school commencement.

I remember, I was in grade four then, there were times I went to school without sleepers, without breakfast, without bag, and without notebooks. Sometimes I let my seatmate copy to have a little snacks during recess time. It was very hard where our stomach always feel empty, but this is not the reason to stop us to finish our studies. I remember, one teacher told me in Visayan language, “Erwin, kahibalo ko nga lisod kaayo mo, paningkamot eskwela doy kay mao ra makaluwas ninyo”..These words cannot forgotten by me until now..So I PUSH myself to study more harder even in the midst of nothing. Before we can eat, we need to go the sea to catch fish , we grow up as a “Fisherman”. We dont mind the eminent danger specially if there were bad weathers..There was one day that I jumped from the boat in the middle of the ocean because the paddle went out from the boat. There were times in my life that was put on danger because of strong storms at the sea. Thank you LORD that I am still alive today…

Life is full of adversity and struggle. It’s through difficult times that we learn the most important lessons in life and build resilience. Adversity often presents opportunities we might otherwise miss. Now is your chance to dig deep and face this obstacle head on..Hard times present you with the chance to change course, reinvent yourself or find an undiscovered bridge that will get you over this hurdle. Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, framed it this way: “Every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.” The true secret to success is the ability to embrace adversity as a chance to change ourselves and our situation.

Sometimes God will put us in the darkest and hardest situation..The best thing we gonna do is to have Courage, have the Strongest Will and Determination to pursue all our Dreams that whatever it takes. My advice , DO NOT EVER GIVE UP because at the end of every tunnel there is LIGHT, there is HOPE and there is GOD.🙏🏻❤️
